People to People
A lot of the time on a farm people are working hard on their own. There can be mind-numbing hours of tilling and weeding fields. But, people are social beings, and the interactions we have with each other are very important to the well being of the group as well as each individual. So, we encourage positive ways to communicate, with each other, with visitors, and with folks who call us up on the phone or write emails. We gather once a month for a special Friday lunch when everyone brings something, we often have a theme. We usually invite a guest or two and we sit and eat and laugh. This relates to our vision, in terms of bringing positive ways to be together as well as beautiful scenery and scents.
Sharing
Lavender farms are a dime a dozen - there are many farms in the world, we are just one, and a small one at that. Because of that, we believe that the more we share with each other and with other farms, the stronger we all will be. To that end we volunteer, go to meetings, and try to connect in various ways with other lavender growers as well as our own agriculture community. We understand that it is hard because we are all busy doing the work of the farm, but we strive to improve that part of our vision.
Quality
Quality is a hard word to pin down. Probably most places say they believe in producing the highest quality products or services and many succeed. Of course, we work towards perfection, too. But it's also the quality of life that we are promoting. After all, lavender and herbs bring a subtle and natural effect into people's lives and that is a quality. The quality of living with awareness, consideration, simple pleasure, and with health in mind is one that we hope comes through in our products and the visits to the farm.
